How It Works

1. Register a new .COM domain — it is processed at your standard reseller price.
2. Add an active MX record to the domain (e.g., MailLB, cPanel mail, DNS mail, hosted email).
3. At the end of each quarter, the number of MX-enabled new .COM registrations is automatically verified by the system.
4. The difference between your standard price and the campaign price is calculated and credited to your reseller deposit.

Example: A Reseller tier partner who registers 200 MX-enabled .COMs in a quarter → 200 × $2.32 = $464 credited back to their deposit. This volume may also unlock a higher reseller tier, improving margins across all TLDs.

Campaign Conditions

5. The program applies to the first-year registration fee of new .COM domains registered in the relevant quarter. Transfers and renewals are excluded.

Resellers targeting the 1,001–5,000 range: You must submit a request through the reseller panel or contact sales@domainnameapi.com in advance.

6. The number of domains eligible per period is limited. Registrations exceeding the defined maximum are charged at the standard reseller price.

Important – Payment Flow: All .COM domains are registered at your standard reseller price upfront. Once the quarter ends and your qualifying volume is confirmed, the difference is credited to your deposit. The charge occurs at the start of the period; the refund occurs at the end.

MX Record Requirements

It doesn’t matter where your MX record is hosted.

Whether it’s set up at Domain Name API, on your own servers, or with a third-party provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, cPanel, etc.) — all that matters is that the record is active and functional.

• The MX record does not need to be added on the same day as the domain registration — it just needs to be active within the same quarter.
• MX records added outside the relevant quarter are not counted retroactively.
• Fake or non-functional MX records do not qualify. Domain Name API and Verisign may perform MX and SMTP checks.
