WISECP FAQs
WiseCP is a next-generation, intelligent automation software built for businesses that provide web hosting, domain registration, server rental, and other digital services. Developed by a Turkish company, WiseCP manages the full lifecycle of product and service sales, billing and accounting, customer management, and technical support from a single admin panel.
Domain Name API is integrated as standard within the WiseCP infrastructure — meaning the module requires no separate installation. Simply complete the configuration steps. The integration handles domain registration, transfer, renewal, WHOIS updates, nameserver management, free WHOIS privacy protection, and automatic extension cost updates fully automatically via API.
💡 Think of WiseCP as the modern, Turkey-first alternative to WHMCS. Built by a Turkish team, it carries natural advantages for local payment infrastructure, Turkish-language support, and .tr/.com.tr compliance. Because Domain Name API integration ships as standard, setup time is significantly shorter compared to WHMCS.
No. WiseCP is a separate domain and hosting automation platform developed by an independent company. Like WHMCS, it is a standalone product that natively supports Domain Name API integration.
Domain Name API is one of WiseCP's official integration partners, but is not the owner or developer of the software. For WiseCP license purchases and software support, contact WiseCP directly.
💡 This distinction matters for support routing. Domain Name API handles integration and domain-side issues. For billing management, panel access, or WiseCP software bugs, contact WiseCP's own support team. Establishing relationships with both companies significantly reduces resolution time when issues arise.
Yes. You can host WiseCP on your own server, provided it meets WiseCP's standard system requirements. Self-hosted deployment is suitable for businesses that require full data sovereignty or technical teams that want complete infrastructure control.
WiseCP also offers a hosted (cloud) option that delegates infrastructure management to WiseCP and simplifies the setup process.
💡 Self-hosting gives you more control but adds responsibility for server management, security patching, and backups. For smaller operations starting out, the hosted option is usually more practical. You can migrate to self-hosted infrastructure later as your business scales and specific hosting requirements emerge.
WiseCP has developed a dedicated migration tool (transfer tool) specifically for WHMCS users. It allows you to migrate customer records, domain data, invoice history, and other data from WHMCS to WiseCP.
Because Domain Name API integration is already built into WiseCP's infrastructure, no additional registrar module setup is needed after migration — simply enter your API credentials in the configuration screen and the integration is active.
💡 Before migrating a production environment, create a test WiseCP installation. Complete the Domain Name API configuration, run a few test domain orders, then proceed with full data migration. If you are primarily serving the Turkish market, WiseCP's native .tr compliance and local payment integrations may provide operational advantages over WHMCS that justify the transition effort.
Yes. You can change your WiseCP lifetime license at any time for free — simply contact the WiseCP support team to request the change. You can also transfer your WiseCP license to another person or business entity.
This flexibility covers scenarios such as server migrations, business ownership changes, or restructuring.
💡 The lifetime license model is one of WiseCP's strongest competitive advantages. Compared to WHMCS's monthly subscription, the long-term total cost of ownership (TCO) is significantly lower for growing resellers. The ability to transfer the license also adds value in business sale or partnership change scenarios.
Domain Name API is defined as a standard integration in WiseCP's infrastructure and requires no separate module installation. For self-hosted WiseCP installations, download the latest module files from github.com/domainreseller and upload the /coremio folder to your website.
To configure the module, follow these steps:
1. In the admin panel, go to Products/Services > Domain Registration > Registrars.
2. Find the 'DomainNameAPI' module and click Configure.
3. Fill in the following fields: Reseller Username and Password (your Domain Name API panel credentials), Whois Privacy Fee (if you charge for this service), Auto Update Costs (recommended — updates costs daily based on exchange rates), Cost Currency (usually USD), Profit Margin (%), and Import Extensions.
4. Click Test Connection to validate, then save.
💡 Always enable Auto Update Costs. This feature updates all extension costs daily against current exchange rates while preserving your defined profit margin. Without it, manually tracking USD/local currency fluctuations across 800+ extensions is both time-consuming and error-prone — especially in volatile currency environments.
The Domain Name API WiseCP integration handles the following operations automatically via API: domain transfer and renewal, WHOIS information updates, nameserver management, free WHOIS privacy protection, transfer lock management, premium domain name control, and automatic extension cost updates.
On the billing side, WiseCP provides instant payment processing, full payment automation, multi-currency support, recurring billing, transaction synchronization, secure payment processing (PCI-compliant), custom payment options, and comprehensive financial reporting.
💡 Multi-currency support is a significant advantage for resellers targeting not only Turkey but also MENA and Central Asia. Being able to offer simultaneous pricing in USD, EUR, and local currencies gives WiseCP a competitive edge over WHMCS for building an international customer base.
Both platforms are comprehensive automation systems for domain, hosting, and digital service sales, and both offer full Domain Name API integration. The key differences are:
WiseCP is developed by a Turkish company and carries natural advantages for local payment infrastructure, Turkish-language support, and .tr/.com.tr compliance. It offers a lifetime license model. WHMCS has broader global adoption, a larger third-party plugin ecosystem, and operates on a monthly subscription model.
💡 If you are building a Turkey or MENA-focused domain reseller business, WiseCP is the natural starting point for local compliance and developer support. If you are planning global-scale operations or depend on WHMCS-specific plugins, WHMCS remains the safer choice. Domain Name API provides equivalent module support for both platforms.
